If you purchased your dog as “show” quality & want to learn how to handle your dog like a professional, these are the classes for you. Our Breed Ring Handling classes are designed for the first time exhibitors and owner/handlers who want to train and show their own dogs as well as seasoned exhibitors who are training a new dog or polishing their skills. They are taught with the same attention to detail and step-by-step instructional approach as all of our other classes. As a result, we often have a waiting list for our beginning classes. Because many owner/handlers also want to earn obedience, agility and other performance titles on their dogs, we teach our handling classes in a way that prevents confusion between other activities and allows simultaneous training in multiple arenas. We are proud to note that many of our students have owner-handled their dogs to conformation championships as well as advanced obedience titles.
Beginning Breed Ring
Beginning Breed Ring is designed to teach the human dog owners the basic skills of gaiting, stacking, baiting and presenting their dogs in the conformation ring and to instruct the human dog owners on the basic procedures, patterns and courtesies that are used in the conformation ring. We will help you (and your dog) learn the basic foundation of ring etiquette, how to accentuate your dog’s best qualities, how to maneuver around the ring and more! While hiring a professional handler is an option, It is a tremendous feeling to own and handle your own dog in the conformation ring! Many of our students have handled their own dogs in the show ring and walked away with group placements and Best in Show!
Advanced Breed Ring
Our Breed Ring program helps teach the dog AND the handler how to show like professionals! Learn how to free-stack your dog, accentuate your dog’s best attributes, and how to minimize ring stress. Many of our students have gone on to earn Championships, compete in some of the top shows in the country (like Westminster and Eukanuba) and develop excellent breeding programs for their breed -all while handling their own dogs in the ring. You can too! Be sure to read the About Us section of this website for more information on our training philosophy and general information about our various programs.
